Hm.. Weekends. I never seem to be able to figure out what to do with them once I've cleaned my apartment and scrubbed Archibald's tank. I mean, I suppose I could sort and recycle my garbage, but even after that..
I need <strike>help</strike> to go back to work.

Thank whatever non-existent deity that never was and never will be that the New Year is here and the celebration of it is over. I didn't even partake and my head is pounding as fiercely as if.. as if I had indulged in thrice of what a standard middle-aged man about my height and weight should be able to stand without reprecussions the next day. I find it mildly annoying and horribly unfair that I should be suffering said reprecussions without enjoying the reasons for them the night previous.

Regardless, the insanity of fireworks is over now, and the smoke of gunpowder has blown away. And may the next 364 days be quiet ones.

Hm.. Turns out there's just three days left on the term. Figures. Just when I was about to shape these children properly, they're snatched away and left to corruption in communal colleges and God knows what else. How dreary.
Holidays are coming up though, and not a spot of snow. Typical. I was so looking forward to go ice-skating some time, considering I have to take some vacation time off before the Headmaster has my head for living in the NS-ward. Most probably I'll duck down in the cellar tonight anyway and see if I can find the skates at all. You never know, perhaps we have a skating rink up somewhere. It could be nice, I suppose, to get a bit of a leg-stretcher like so.. But I know I'll have serious withdrawals from the lack of buthane gas in the air in a day or two. Maybe if I sneak down to the janitorial I could.. borrow a set of keys..
Dilan suggested I get some reading done since I've got the time now, but I just know that I won't be able to concentrate. At least Archie is going to have one Christmas full of attention and salad..

.. If I could just filter out the laughs and stomping and singing from the neighbors I'd be fine about this holiday ..
